To join PMI and the Central Arkansas Chapter of PMI, follow these simple steps:

1. Apply for Project Management Institute (PMI) membership at www.pmi.org or at http://www.pmi.org/Pages/default.aspx

 2. Look for “Become a PMI Member” and click on “Join Now” button. Select the type of membership you would like (Individual, Student, or Retiree) at the bottom of the page. A new member will need to register prior to completing the PMI application. Remember to indicate your desire to join the Central Arkansas Chapter of PMI (CACPMI)

 3. Pay your membership dues for both PMI and CACPMI as instructed

 4. You may also elect to join a Specific Interest Group (SIG) at the time you join

• Network with fellow Project Managers in the CACPMI
• Access project management articles on various topics at no charge   
• Develop your leadership skills through some CACPMI volunteer activities e.g. Fall Professional Development Day, PMP Prep Class, etc.  
• Volunteer opportunities in Programs, Communications, Finance, Membership, Public Relations, and Professional Development.
• Have a member discount for educational programs and seminars
• Get Professional Development Units (PDU’s) at a much lower cost from CACPMI for Project Management Professionals (PMP's)  
• Receive support from local experts to help prepare you for the PMP exam
• Be recognized by the chapter when you earn your PMP  
• Network with fellow job seekers   
• Have an opportunity to run for a CACPMI Board Member in an area that is of interest to you.  If elected, you will earn 10 PDU’s per year.
• Have a right to vote for Board members   
• Contribute to the growth of the chapter by participating in activities and events with high quality and visibility 
• Support your local project management profession
