The Project Management Institute (PMI) is an international professional association of project management professionals founded in 1969. PMI has become the organization of choice for engineering, information systems, construction and a growing list of other business, government and educational career project professionals.
The mission of PMI is to:
-
• Advance the recognition and acceptance of project management as a profession
• Advance and improve the existing project management knowledge base
• Develop and expand the project management community
• Promote PMI organizational excellence/viability
The Central Arkansas Chapter of PMI (CACPMI) is a not-for-profit organization founded on July 17, 2000. Our chapter currently has over 200 members with 65% of those members certified as Project Management Professional (PMP®). On the average, we have over 30 people attend our monthly chapter meetings. Revenue received from membership fees have allowed the Chapter to keep membership fees stable and conduct events at affordable prices for members and friends.
We currently conduct our chapter meetings on the second Thursday of the month at locations in central Little Rock. We strive to schedule one to two professional development days a year and one to two PMP prep classes each year. These activities cannot happen without your support. Please help us continue by volunteering your time expertise.
