Vice President of Communications
The Vice President of Communications of the Central Arkansas Chapter of PMI, Inc. directs chapter activities to publicize PMI's purposes and objectives to the chapter and to the general public via newsletters, program event flyers and new member publications. The Vice President of Communications prepares notifications and website updates to keep the membership informed about chapter business and activities, organizes events for publicity and seeks opportunities to create an awareness of the PMI and the Central Arkansas Chapter of PMI.
Mary M. (Peggy) Wells, PMP is the CEO of Wells PMConsulting, LLC. She is a former project manager for The Dow Chemical Company, with over 15 years experience in global project team and/or project management roles for projects from $1MM - $110MM USD. She was one of 11 nominees for the 2011 Dow Chemical Project Manager of the Year award. She is the Vice President of Communications for the Central Arkansas Chapter of PMI (Project Management Institute) for 2013-2014.
Her background includes 32+ years of technical problem-solving, manufacturing, Six Sigma (both MAIC and DFSS), contract negotiations for site services and large equipment procurement related to projects, project risk management, outsourced Engineering/Procurement/Construction/
Construction Management EPCM firms, project management training, and project management coaching.
She has been a PMP since 2002, and also has a Master's Certificate in Project Management from George Washington University. She served on the Clear Lake/Galveston PMI Chapter Board from 2002-2006.
